Data compiled by Strategy Analytics Smartphone Model Tracker (SMT) notes that the number one smartphone in terms of popularity and the most widely shipped worldwide is the Apple iPhone X.
The total number of shipments of iPhone X in the first quarter of 2018 reached a range of 16 million units. In market share, this type of smartphone is estimated to capture 4.6 percent of the total portion of the smartphone world.
The details are the iPhone 8 in second place with total shipments of 12.5 million units; iPhone 8 Plus is in third position with total shipments of 8.3 million units; and iPhone 7 in the fourth position with a total shipments of 5.6 million units.
Each of these smartphones also annexed a considerable market share. iPhone 8 gets 3.6 percent; iPhone 8 Plus gets 2.4 percent; and iPhone 7 gets 1.6 percent.
Meanwhile, there are two Android smartphones that are most popular in the first quarter of 2018, namely Xiaomi Redmi 5A in the fifth position and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus in sixth position.
Details, Xiaomi Redmi 5A has been shipped as many as 5.4 million units and annex 1.6 percent market share. While Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus shipped as many as 5.3 million units and annex 1.5 percent market share
